Attaining a high level of physical, mental, spiritual and psychological well-being.
The care and services provided at 15 Craigside give residents
the opportunity to attain a high level of physical, mental, spiritual and psychological well-being. The Wellness Programs support a residents' autonomy, because there are a variety of services from which to choose.
Residents may participate in Wellness Center programs in the manner in which they feel most comfortable. Management and staff approach each program with a positive, supportive attitude. Resident needs and desires are met affirmatively and joyfully. You will never hear, "Sorry, we can't do that," but you will hear, “Let’s try this.”
The following are the anticipated programs and activities for 15 Craigside:
Individual assistance and coaching for independent living, assisted living, and Health Care Center residents help them to achieve increased energy, greater endurance and strength, improved balance and an overall sense of well-being. Balance classes work to improve balance and posture, both of which help to reduce falls. The aquatic exercise programs for beginners and intermediate participants bring comfort, flexibility and improved range of motion. The Osteoporosis Class also helps residents improve their overall lifestyle. Tai Chi improves balance and coordination. For memory enhancement and socializing, the Wellness Center offers ukulele and line dancing programs taught by resident volunteers. And, there are inviting jigsaw puzzles available in many locations.
The broad spectrum of entertainment and activities available daily, in-house, and at all levels of care, helps to enrich the lives of our residents. These programs are especially helpful for those residents who have difficulty leaving 15 Craigside to enjoy events elsewhere in the community.
For events away from home, we arrange transportation by Handi-Van, Handi-Cab, private bus or other forms of group transportation. This enables residents at all levels to enjoy the companionship of others while broadening their social, educational and cultural experiences in a safe, enjoyable manner.
The wealth of programs and activities contribute to achieving a strong base for providing a good quality of life in our senior living community.
