A lifetime residence in 15 Craigside.
The following are the anticipated fees and services for 15 Craigside:
Presently (2006), entrance fees range between $150,000 and $350,000 (As of 2007 and therafter, there will likely be annual increases). The entrance fee provides:
• A Lifetime Residency in 15 Craigside in the apartment one has accepted
• Guaranteed Lifetime Care
• Guaranteed bed in 15 Craigside’s Healthcare Facility anytime
• A Skilled Nursing Facility able to provide Alzheimer’s and dementia care
• Assisted Living Services
Presently (2006), the Monthly Service Charge (MSC) including a land purchase assessment, general health care fee and parking (for those with cars) range between $2,170 and $2,550 for singles and is $3,540 for couples.
The MSC provides:
• Three nutritious meals per day
• Maid service
• Flat linen service
• Cable TV ready
• Utilities
• Maintenance
• Security
• 24-hour emergency care accessed by a call system in the apartment
• Five free days in the boarder rooms of the Healthcare Facility for each separately diagnosed illness
• A resident outpatient clinic staffed by a licensed nurse for residents needing non-emergency care such as taking blood pressure, giving eye drops, and receiving some prescribed injections.
• A wellness center in 15 Craigside’s lower level with a swimming pool for lap swimming and aqua-exercise with scheduled programs, nutritional advice and health profile assessments.
• Meal tray service in one’s apartment for up to five days without charge for each diagnosed infection and upon returning from hospitalization.
• Assistance from the nursing staff in the event of an emergency to call physicians, family and an ambulance, if necessary.
• State licensed required functional assessments by a GNP
• Social services
• Chaplain
15 Craigside will also provide Special Services for those who need some assistance with daily living in their apartments; these services are scheduled by the resident with the Special Services Department. The hourly fee is $22 and the services are provided by a Certified Nurse Aid. Examples of the services provided are:
• Bedmaking
• Check cashing
• Check writing
• Supermarket orders and delivery
• Ironing
• Monitoring
• Ordering medical supplies
• Personal laundry
• Reading to residents and assisting with material from the library for the blind
For those residents who require more assistance with some of the activities of daily living (eating, toileting, walking, dressing, or bathing), 15 Craigside is able to provide assisted living in a resident’s apartment. Medication management is provided at $300 per month over the normal Monthly Service Charge, and there is an hourly charge of $22 per hour based on a service plan which provides assisted living assistance to a resident for a number of his or her activities of daily living.
Should a resident require rehabilitative skilled nursing or long-term care, 15 Craigside will have a 50-bed licensed, Medicare certified nursing facility. Skilled nursing and related nursing services are provided to residents whose primary need is for 24 hours of skilled nursing care or extended nursing services. The daily bed rate for a semi-private room is $235.00 per day in addition to the usual monthly service charge less the food credit. If a resident has released his/her apartment to reside permanently in the nursing facility, the daily bed rate is $235.00 per day. Nursing supplies are not included in the daily rate.
In addition to an extensive activities program for our Healthcare Center residents, 15 Craigside will also provide many types of activities and programs in which all residents can participate during any given month.
